I welcome commissioned art projects. My expertise in creating such custom art is enhanced by my ability to capture themes of people, animals, landscape and nature with their unique personality as conceptualized by you. Depending on the special painting you are looking for in terms of theme, complexity, size and color, I will offer suggestions and will provide the price and delivery time. After reaching an agreement, you’ll be asked to pay a 50% deposit which covers all materials and some labor to conceptualize and design the sketch.
Here are some commissioned paintings that are being enjoyed daily. Be sure to read their TESTIMONIALS.
Dazzling! Marvelous! We are so pleased with our painting which is the focal point of our home! Jyotika spent hours with us to understand our thoughts for the painting before creating the scenes. The completed painting is vibrant with intricate features. Given the size of the painting (5ft X 7ft) it was amazing to see the landscapes come alive and interact with the fauna, flora and birds. The composition with architecture and people is perfectly balanced. Each person has a different facial expression with details galore! We love our art and will treasure it forever! — Niketa
COMMISSION PROCESS
The complete process involves FIVE key steps.
STEP ONE: Getting started as described below.
STEP TWO: Any photographs or reference images you may want to provide to add to my research.
STEP THREE: Initial design and sketch for your approval.
STEP FOUR: Your review of painting prior to finalizing; any feedback to ensure you’ll be completely satisfied.
STEP FIVE: Your approval of final proof, payment and shipping.
STEP ONE
Since commissions are customized, it’s really important that I understand your needs. After one or more initial consultative sessions together, we’ll articulate your vision and concept for your painting and outline dominant colors, size, theme and budget for the painting. Commissioned art prices depend upon the complexity of the subject, the time involved and the research needed to complete the painting. After reaching an agreement you will be requested to pay a 50% deposit to book your commission painting. At this time I will also give you an approximate date of completion and delivery. Due to the nature of custom work, turn around time varies from 3 to 6 weeks. If you need a painting sooner, ask, and I will do everything I can to meet your needs and deadline.
STEP TWO
After our initial conversation, I may request you to gather some photographs or reference images to further understand your vision. You can either email me the photos or have the prints mailed to me. I will contact you when I receive these and we’ll finalize any creative aspects of your project.
STEP THREE
After fully understanding your requirements I will begin the design and creative conceptualization process. Once I feel confident about a plan, I will provide you with an initial sketch of the final composition. After your approval and confirmation, I will start the final painting.
STEP FOUR
Once the painting is at a stage where it’s ready for your review, (around 75% complete) I will get you a proof and seek your approval once again. It’s at this stage where you have the opportunity to suggest revisions or changes that you would like to see. I will work with you until you are completely satisfied.
STEP FIVE
I will complete the painting and send you a final proof for your acceptance. After receiving your approval and final payment (which includes the additional charge for the shipping & handling fee), your painting will be professionally packed, insured and shipped by UPS/FEDEX. I will then contact you with the UPS tracking number and the estimated date of arrival.
COMMISSION PRICING and Payment terms
Depending on the specifics of a commissioned painting as well as its complexity and size a final price will be quoted. A few of my commissioned acrylic, watercolor and oil paintings have ranged in size (up to 48”x60”) and their prices have ranged from $400 to $4,000. All payments must be made via PayPal.
Please note that my price does not include the shipping & handling costs. These are additional charges that you will need to plan for. Depending on the size of your painting, processing preferences and shipping destinations prices will vary. Generally shipping charges can range from $35 to $275. Once UPS has professionally packed, insured and shipped your painting, I will provide you with the UPS tracking number and estimated date of arrival.
